As science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation increasingly drive socio-economic growth, Kien Giang College has launched a series of impactful activities to celebrate National Innovation Day (October 1) 2026. The initiatives integrate public awareness with scientific research, technical innovation, digital capability building, and professional networking—fostering a culture of creativity and advancing the practical application of technology across training and management.

In line with national directives and local implementation plans, the college collaborated with the Department of Science and Technology to host training workshops focused on productivity and quality improvement solutions for students. These efforts aim to embed innovation into academic, research, and institutional development endeavors.

Multi-Channel Communication Strategy

To spread the message of innovation, promotional campaigns were launched across official websites, social media channels, and digital platforms, alongside visual displays at the Chu Van An and Mac Cuu campuses featuring the central slogan: "INNOVATION – THE DRIVING FORCE FOR SOCIETAL DEVELOPMENT."

Staff members from Kien Giang College received commendations for their achievements at the 10th Provincial Technical Innovation Contest (2024–2025).

Applied Research and Technological Solutions

Awareness activities are closely linked to concrete research outcomes. In 2025, three institutional research projects were approved for implementation. The college has successfully developed several practical, technology-driven models, including IoT-integrated control systems, smart automated parking systems using PLC and IoT, intelligent irrigation setups, hybrid solar drying tents, and digitalized pneumatic-hydraulic practice modules.

Fostering Scientific Inquiry and Intellectual Property

Innovation efforts have been further materialized through active participation in scientific contests and research publications. Students submitted 18 finalized projects to the 1st An Giang Youth and Children’s Innovation Competition in 2026.

Academic publishing also saw steady progress, with faculty members authoring 14 papers in domestic and international journals alongside 33 specialized research reports during the 2025–2026 academic year. Additionally, the college conducted seminars on patent protection registration and commercialization, ensuring staff and faculty stay equipped with vital intellectual property and research skills.

Accelerating Digital Transformation

Digital transformation remains a cornerstone of the college's strategic vision, guided by dedicated action plans and the Digital Transformation Scheme for 2026–2030.

To enhance digital capabilities, the college organized active teaching methodology training for nearly 122 educators, as well as specialized online courses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools for 210 staff and faculty members. AI and digital technologies are progressively being integrated into teaching and management workflows to create a modern, adaptable learning environment.

Expanding Professional Connections and Entrepreneurship

Kien Giang College actively participates in regional competitions, conferences, and startup initiatives. Following the success of the institutional "KGC Startup Ideas Competition 2025", the college hosted the 5th An Giang Provincial Innovative Startup Competition, where KGC students secured First Prize with the "Green Apps" project.

Building on this momentum in 2026, the college continues to foster an entrepreneurial mindset through weekly flag-salute exchanges and training sessions, providing students with a platform to turn practical ideas into scalable solutions.

By connecting ideas to research, and research to practical application, Kien Giang College continues to empower faculty and students to drive innovation, advance digital capabilities, and contribute meaningfully to the institution's sustainable development in the digital age.
