Driven by a profound passion for aquaculture, Lê Duy Cường - a distinguished alumnus of the batch 14 Aquaculture class at Kien Giang College (KGC) - has successfully transformed his ambition into a thriving career. His journey stands as a testament to relentless effort, resilience, and a bold "dare to think, dare to do" mindset.
During his years at Kien Giang College, Cuong was known as a highly energetic and proactive student who immersed himself in numerous extracurricular activities. For him, college was not merely about mastering a trade; it was a vital environment to cultivate self-confidence, dynamism, and essential communication skills. Alongside his outstanding contributions to youth movements, his disciplined academic spirit and drive to excel earned him the college’s study encouragement scholarship. The solid foundation of specialized knowledge he acquired at KGC provided him with the utmost confidence to enter the professional workforce immediately upon graduation.
Currently, Lê Duy Cường is working at the Vinpearl Phú Quốc Aquarium, a demanding role that requires meticulous attention to detail, profound expertise, and rapid problem-solving abilities. In his daily operations, he frequently confronts complex challenges regarding aquatic pathology and pathogens that cause fish to lose their appetite or suffer from declining health. Leveraging the core knowledge gained at KGC, Cuong continuously researches and expands his specialized expertise to implement timely and effective interventions. Notably, a crowning achievement in his career thus far is his success in breeding whitetip reef sharks and blacktip reef sharks - a remarkable feat that reflects the patience, dedication, and fearless spirit of a young professional who truly loves his craft.
Reflecting on his college memories, Cuong fondly recalls the student recruitment campaigns he joined alongside his teachers and peers. Those campaigns offered him a platform to present and speak passionately about the field he loved, spreading trust and motivation to high school students. The friendly and close-knit environment at KGC has left him with beautiful, lasting memories.
